Position (1) Monitoring and Evaluation Manager

Reports to: Director of Strategy & Performance Management
Department: Strategy and Performance Management

Duty Station: BMF Headquarters – Dar es Salaamm

Main responsibilities:

The main responsibility of the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager is to supervise and manage the planning, monitoring, and knowledge management of the Fellows program. Additionally, she or he will be responsible for overseeing compliance with the MEAL framework throughout the project’s implementation, developing internal team and partner capacity, and making sure all program elements adhere to BMF and USAID M&E criteria. roles and obligations:

  1. Support the creation, execution, and evaluation of the Fellows Program’s MEAL Framework/Plan.
  2. Ensures the timely and excellent creation of monitoring and evaluation reports for the Fellows Program that are submitted to the Donors, SMT, and others for evidence-based accountability.
  3. To ensure the quality of the data acquired by technical staff and to confirm the veracity of the provided data, conduct field visits (data quality assessment).
  4. Data management responsibilities include ensuring data flow, quality, analysis, and utilization to support project implementation.
  5. analyzes performance reports and KPI data for the Fellows Program to spot trends and changes, then makes suggestions for action to the Program Team Lead and the SMT.
  6. Work closely with the Service Delivery Partners to ensure that the Fellows Program statistics and performance are appropriately analyzed and related to the Service delivery

Qualifications & Experience

  • A first degree in the social sciences, public health, or a related field, as well as professional M&E training and a master’s degree, are all advantages.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant professional experience
  • With outstanding quantitative and qualitative approaches, you must have hands-on experience with statistical analysis software like STATA, SPSS, Epi Info, etc.
  • Should have data management experience, preferably in programs connected to diseases or health systems.
  • It will be beneficial to be familiar with the M&E frameworks and procedures used by the Tanzanian government in the health sector as well as those used by donors like USAID.
