Program Manager

Reports to: Director of Program & Business Development

Directorate: Programs and Business Development

Duty Station: BMF Headquarters – Dar es Salaam

Contract Type: Full time

Overall goal of the position

Technically leading organizations or groups in developing, implementing, evaluating, and creating community health programs at the national, sub-national, and local levels.

Roles and Responsibilities| Program Manager

Take the initiative to lead situational analysis and regular evaluations of the regulatory environment, comparative best practices (local and worldwide), and procedures governing social and community welfare that will support commercial development activities of the Foundation.
Take the initiative and participate in proposal writing and other company development initiatives for social welfare and community health. (Community Health Jobs in Dodoma at BMF)
Participate in M&E, advocacy, and documentation initiatives that will raise the Foundation’s technical credibility and visibility in fields connected to community health and social welfare in conjunction with the Strategic Information and Advocacy Sections.
maintain awareness of new information and advances about various community interventions.
Make that the Grant Agreements signed with each Implementing Partner, CSO, and community organization are managed effectively and efficiently, and make sure technical help is provided to the same
Observe and verify that field workers communicate with the CBO or community group at least twice per month during the first quarter and once per month thereafter.
Establish strategic relationships with organizations that share your values, and encourage collaboration, complementarity, and the scaling up of best practices.

Qualifications & Experience| Program Manager

BA/BSc. Prefer a doctorate degree in public health, social welfare, or community development.
preferably at a senior programming level, with at least 7 years of experience working on community development and social welfare interventions
strong awareness of the governing frameworks, policies, and mechanisms for social welfare and community health. (Community Health Jobs in Dodoma at BMF)
